Dr. Sassmannshausen is board-certified in Dermatology practicing medicine since July, 1993, after earning his medical degree at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana. His residency training included Internal Medicine at Indiana University Medical Center and Dermatology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.

Michelle is a native of Fort Wayne. She spent time in Minnesota growing up but returned here for high school at Snider, and college at IPFW and University of St. Francis. She worked as a surgical technologist at Lutheran Hospital for several years before returning to school. She graduated from the Physician Assistant Program at St. Francis in 2002. As a PA, she has worked in Occupational Medicine, Urgent Care, Psychiatry, and joined Three Rivers Dermatology in 2008 where she has developed her passion for helping people achieve and maintain healthy and beautiful skin.

Michelle is a mother of two wonderful daughters and loves watching them perform (theater, dance, etc.)! A few of her favorite things are Disney Movies, chocolate, many types of music and her latest journey to Africa for a photographic safari.

Jacki is a Fort Wayne native where she attended and graduated from Northrop High School. She went on to receive her undergraduate & graduate degrees at IPFW before enrolling into the PA program at the University of Saint Francis. After considerable time and dedication, she completed her studies and graduated in August, 2017.

It’s not all study and work for Jacki! In her free time, she likes to stay active and enjoys bicycling and gardening, but now and again kicks back, and relaxes with a good book. Soon, she will be busy with a furry addition to her family as she and her husband are looking forward to adopting a puppy in the near future!

Jenifer grew up in east central Illinois where she attended Illinois College and received her Undergraduate degree. She continued on receiving her masters from Indiana State University. She is also certified in phlebotomy and basic life support. Prior to joining the team, she was working at Lutheran Hospital as a Hospitalist Physician Assistant.

In her spare time, she enjoys running, refurbishing antique furniture, reading lots, playing volleyball, and when time allows, she loves to travel and go hiking. She also loves spending time with her husband, and even though her favorite animals are cows, she loves and enjoys spending time with their dog Luna!

Loretta is the Director of Operations and has been with Three Rivers Dermatology since opening in February of 2002. She has a Bachelors Degree in Microbiology from Indiana University. After graduating from college, she spent 4 years doing laboratory research on herpes viruses. For the next 10 years she worked in the clinical research division at Eli Lilly & Company coordinating worldwide human studies on medicines for HIV, Hepatitis B, and Osteoporosis. Her final 2 years at Eli Lilly were spent as a medical writer.

She and Dr. Sassmannshausen have been married since 1991 and have 3 children. In what little free time she has, she enjoys reading, yoga, golfing and scrapbooking.

Sydney is our Lead Aesthetician and has been part of the aesthetics team since June 2014. She received her aesthetics license from Rudae’s School of Beauty Culture in 2013. She loves working in the area of medical aesthetics because she gets to work closely with the patients. Helping guests/patients transform their skin and seeing real change is the most gratifying part of her job. Working alongside Dr. Sass and PA Michelle every day is a great honor and she is constantly learning something new from them & continuing her education. Outside of work she loves to spend time with her energetic son.
