- Laser Tattoo Removal
Laser technology has made great strides in eliminating tattoos, so this may be a good time to seriously consider tattoo removal. Everything from small, single colored tattoos to large, multicolored ones can be significantly faded or completely removed using currently available lasers.
- Laser Hair Removal/Reduction
From upper lip to bikini line, legs, underarms and back. Laser light does what electrolysis and depilatories cannot — damage growing hair follicles so the hair will not return. The procedure is performed without the need for an anesthetic. With each treatment there is a noticeable decrease in hair growth. The effect is permanent, leaving only satisfaction.
Unlike other treatments, laser light can completely disrupt a hair, root and all. - Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy is the injection of a medicine into a vein, causing the vein to collapse and disappear. The body then replaces this damaged vessel with imperceptible tissue that causes no harm to circulation. Where surgery was once the only answer, now sclerotherapy produces natural, beautiful results.
The sclerosing solution disrupts the small cells which line the inner walls of blood vessels. A large number of veins within a given area may improve with a single injection.
Fading of blood vessels continues for 1 to 6 weeks. It is important to recognize that sclerotherapy does not prevent new spider veins and recurrences can occur over 1-5 years.
- Restylane
Restylane® is a safe and natural cosmetic dermal filler that restores volume and fullness in facial skin to correct wrinkles and folds. Restylane is composed of non-animal, stabilized hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is naturally found in the human body. It is also hydrophilic or “water-loving.” As hyaluronic acid gradually degrades, each molecule binds to more water. Over time, the same volume of water can be maintained with less hyaluronic acid. This ability of hyaluronic acid to bind to water is what helps provide long-lasting results. While Restylane is administered as an injection, it is not the same as, nor a replacement for Botox Cosmetic®. Botox Cosmetic is a medicine that blocks nerve transmission, relaxing the underlying muscles. Restylane, on the other hand, is a filler that smoothes facial wrinkles and folds. Many patients have been very pleased after receiving treatment with both products. Restylane is ideal for some problems that, in the past, could only be treated with collagen injections.
Restylane is also an alternative to collagen for creating full, soft lips. Considering the gentle nature of Restylane, it is easy to understand why it has gained so much popularity so quickly.

- PUVA
PUVA is a phototherapy that uses a type of medication called Psoralen (P) in combination with exposure to Ultraviolet A (UVA). Psoralens are compounds that are naturally found in many plants. Psoralens have the unique ability to make skin more sensitive to ultraviolet light. In fact, ancient Egyptians used psoralens for treating skin diseases thousands of years ago.
PUVA is a powerful treatment, not without some possible side effects. However, for treatment of advanced cases of psoriasis, eczema and morphea, PUVA can produce results that other therapies simply cannot.
- Narrowband UVB
Narrowband Ultraviolet B (UVB) light provides a maximum dose of a light using a small slice of the ultraviolet spectrum. That slice is the most beneficial component of natural sunlight for the treatment of many skin diseases while minimizing its potential side effects.
NB-UVB does not have some of the side effects associated with UVA or broadband ultraviolet devices. The devices we use create the correct UVB without unwanted, damaging rays.
The length of each treatment and the frequency of treatments are different for each patient. A common therapy might require three treatments a week for six weeks, followed by maintenance treatments once or twice a week.
- XTRAC
One of the most exciting new developments in the treatment of mild to moderate psoriasis is targeted excimer laser phototherapy. - Omnilux
Finally, an acne treatment that works, quickly and comfortably. The Omnilux technology produces an enhanced, narrow-band blue wavelength of light. That specific band of light converts some pigments (porphyrins) produced by the acne bacteria into a toxic compound that actually destroys the bacteria. Patients are exposed to the therapeutic light system for 15 minutes, twice a week. A typical course of treatment lasts four weeks, with visible improvement by the end of the treatment period.
